Access the ICSI Program

In co-operation with Helgstrand Dressage ApS, Yancey Farms announces our new ICSI Program for dressage breeders in the U.S.

Over the past few years it has become more mainstream in the dressage world to access the technique of ICSI for competition mares with special pedigrees, qualities, success in competition, etc. The number of requests has increased to the point that I determined a significant “waste” of complete insemination doses that were sold. Breeders would just buy the dose, we would ship to the attending Veterinarian and only a tiny part of that dose would actually be used. The “waste” of those additional straws just sitting there, or the chance that those straws were sold on as an incomplete dose, or creating many multiple oocytes with those “insemination dose” straws bothered me and made me think.

So, in cooperation with Stallion Station Helgstrand, we have agreed to provide professionally prepared “ICSI Doses” at a reduced price from the original “price per insemination dose.” I also have other stallions already prepared and priced. Comes to Veterinarian with TAMU statistics.

We offer ANY of the Helgstrand stallions via ICSI portions, professionally prepared. Our portions will be more than sufficient for the injection of all/multiple oocytes from the Ovum pickup (OPU).

Some stallions will already have ICSI doses prepared and would be able to ship immediately upon purchase. Those will be designated online and reflected in the “shopping cart.”  Others, by request, would take a bit longer to be prepared.
