Proud James… I have been watching him for 2 years and am SO excited that we finally have a chance to use him in the U.S. !!
Premium stallion of the Danish Warmblood licensing
- Winner of the class for 4-year-olds at the 2024 World Championship for Young Dressage Horses
- Premium stallion in DWB 2023
- Winner of the KWPN stallion Performance test 2023
- Proud James, who was awarded a premium at his licensing in Denmark, also completed his stallion performance test in the Netherlands with a sensational score of 91 points (out of a possible 100 points) and well ahead of the competition. “This gray stallion has incredible balance, a very good movement technique and a very good, committed hind leg. He has a tremendous uphill tendency and a fantastic character,” said examiner Bert Rutten, enthusiastically summarizing the jury’s impressions. Our Proud James received a 9.0 for walk, trot, canter, rideability and potential, and a dream score of 10 for self-carriage and suppleness. Proud James was finally graded in Danish Warmblood in 2024 with the following impressive comments from the judges: “Proud James is a harmonious and appealing stallion of exceptionally good type and with a good stallion format. He has a long, sloping shoulder and a well-shaped, slightly short but very functional and supple topline. He has a rhythmic, spacious, and energetic walk. The trot is supple, powerful, with good shoulder freedom and action in the hind legs. The canter is incredibly well-balanced, spacious, with great shoulder freedom and good natural carriage.” At the 2024 World Championships for Young Dressage Horses, he convincingly won the 4-year-old class, both in the qualification with 85.4% and in the final with 86.2%.
- Proud James is from the first crop of the stallion Jameson RS2, who placed eighth in the dressage horse world championship final as a five-year-old and was again successful in the seven-year-old class in 2021 under Marieke van der Putten/NED. The pair has now achieved international placings in the small tour. Jameson RS2 won his stallion performance test in the Netherlands as well as the Pavo Cup and twice the stallion final in ‘s Hertogenbosch/NED (10 for canter). Several sons from his first crops were licensed
- The dam elite, prok Cyraniek was bred to Everdale and already produced the KWPN-licensed W-Horseland Inverness/Brecht D’Hoore/NED, who won the international small tour in Aachen. Her half-sister keur, pref, prest Niniek STV (by Jazz) recorded Grand Prix placings and produced the licensed and up to Inter I placed Beukenvallei’s Iconic B (by Bon Bravour) as well as the two Inter I horses Up Seven and Chopard B (both by OO Seven). The Cyraniek half-brother Omar STV (by Gregor) recorded successes in 1.30 meter jumping competitions.
- The dam’s sire Johnson once again leads the WBFSH ranking of the world’s best dressage sires this year. He himself was one of the most successful Grand Prix horses of his time under Hans Peter Minderhoud/NED, winning team bronze at the WEG in Caen/FRA in 2014, team gold and individual bronze at the European Championships in Aachen in 2015 and ninth place in the individual classification at the Olympic Games in Rio/BRA in 2016.
- The granddam keur, pref, prest Faniek STV is a half-sister to the licensed Randell STV (by Clavecimbel) and to the two Grand Prix horses Hermes (by Variant) and Arrivederci (by United). Hermes took part in the World Equestrian Games in Jerez de la Frontera/ESP in 2002 under Andrea John/AUT and in the European Championships in 2001 and 2003.
