Mauro’s bloodlines are super interesting and strong…

Mauro Turfhorst is a black jewel who, as a three-year-old, already stood out very positively at the stallion selection in Den Bosch. During the ’21 spring examination in Ermelo, he fully lived up to the high expectations. He passed with 84 points and became the reserve champion of the KWPN performance test. He scored 8 for the walk and an 8.5 for the other parts.
The performance champ continues his training with top rider Dinja van Liere. He should have a bright future in her skilled hands.
The performance jury was full of praise for Mauro’s performance: “The stallion always walks uphill and has a beautiful silhouette. He has a very nice character, is willing to work and always thinks along well. In trot he always walks upwards, with a nice foreleg technique. He always seeks the hand of the rider. In this hallway it gives a beautiful, appealing image. In the canter he has a nice jump and is always uphill. The stallion always thinks forward, has a lot of balance and can switch gears well. In walk he immediately relaxes and has a big stride”
Mauro Turfhorst received the following scores:
Walk: 8, Trot: 8.5, Gallop: 8.5, Suppleness: 8.5, Posture & Balance: 8.5 Rideability and Attitude: 8.5, Aptitude as a dressage horse: 8.5.
Mauro Turfhorst was bred by Jan Greve from Haaksbergen. The stallion was selected for the performance test last year. At the stallion selection he was one of the most expensive stallions sold through the KSS auction. The black stallion comes from the Grand Prix stallion GLOCK’s Zonik, who was three times Dutch champion in the Big Tour under Edward Gal and won team silver at the European Championships in Rotterdam.
Mauro’s mother is Hidaylia. She is a ster mare by Negro (Inter II under Anne van Olst) out of the provisional ‘keur’ mare Daylia by Scandic (Grand Prix under Patrik Kittel). Then follows in the pedigree Gribaldi (Grand Prix under Edward Gal) and the Nimmerdor (Grand Prix jumping under Albert Voorn). In short, five top sport stallions in a row that guarantee the strong blood structure.
Mauro Turfhorst comes from the famous Daula lineage (Mare line 31, breeding family 20) that is rich in performance and predicate. His dam is the elegant, long-lined Negro mare Hidaylia (1.71m).
From the direct dam line come the Small Tour mare Vivalia (by Biotop), the Grand Prix mare Cavalia (by Sir Donnerhall I), the KWPN approved stallions Farmer (by Voltaire), Jimtown (by Darco) and Pardon (v. Weyden).
Furthermore, the KWPN approved stallions Majesteit (s. Ishan xx), For Gribaldi (s. Gribaldi), Safarie (s. Farn) and the Grand Prix stallion Hierarch (s. Cocktail) descend from the mare line of Mauro Turfhorst. In addition, the stallions Janeiro Platinum (s. Sezuan), approved at DWB and Old., Gershwin (s. Vivaldi), AES approved and Inter I active, Norton L (s. Nimmerdor), ggk in Westfalen, Jazzman (s. Jazz), approved in Oldenburg and Caratino Z (s. Calvaro Z) approved in Russia.
Many sport horses also come from the famous Daula line. Eight horses are Grand Prix registered and four have reached the highest level in jumping. More than 20 horses from that line are competing at Inter I level.
