Reina H
This is the young mare "Reina H" (Rubinstein - Herbststurm - Pregel),
bred by Yancey Farms.
She
has had six foals; four fillies and two colts. ALL SIX have been awarded
PREMIUM STATUS
by the German Oldenburg Verband! This is an exceptional
producing mare from a top quality
Trakehner mare line.
Her
dam, HELENA (Herbststurm – Pregel – Boris
) was an Elite Trakehner mare and the
foundation mare of my breeding
program back in 1977. Her mare line is well known for its strength,
fertility and all around athleticism. One of Reina’s brothers,
HARPER (by MAHON) was a
top A circuit hunter some years ago.
Reina
produces foals of beauty, suspension and free movement. She has
excellent mothering skills, and her foals grow up happy , secure and
easy to train.
In 2006, she had a black filly by Furst Heinrich by embryo transfer.

This photo shows her "meeting" her daughter "FINALE"

DREAM RUBINA
A long lived breeding farm owes everything to its foundation mares. My foundation mare happened to be a Trakehner mare named “Helena” (Herbststurm – Pregel – Boris) that was a mare of a lifetime.
Because of her special qualities I value the offspring and guard them zealously. Her daughter "Reina H" is my signature mare... and HER daughter "DREAM RUBINA" is becoming an integral part of the breeding herd.

Verbands Premium Mare, Dream Rubina
By Dream of Glory out of Reina H by Rubinstein
Rubina was presented this year to the German Oldenburg Verband and was scored with a 7.6 and was awarded Premium status in Germany with the Oldenburg Verband.
This is a young mare of excellent quality of conformation, with power in her movements and shows outstanding suspension and freedom in all 3 gaits.
She was born at an odd time of the year - November (long story), and since I choose to keep her for breeding, I bred her as a long 2 year old . She amazed me by delivering a huge, healthy, wonderful filly by Fuerstenreich (Florestan – Matador – Apart).

"Beaner" (barn name!) just laid down, had the filly, then got up and took care of "Fiona". THAT was the blood of her Grand dam , Helena, coming through. The excellent Mothering ability of these mares is precious. They are the type of true "BROODMARE", that is highly fertile and has excellent parenting skills as well as the ability to take care of themselves (weight wise) throughout the gestation until weaning. I hope each of you get to experience a mare like this in your breeding career. I am so blessed to have this line.
The filly, Fiona, is an outstanding moving filly of large frame and gentle disposition.

She earned her Premium Award from the Oldenburg Verband also.

So, it was a big day for both the young mare Dream Rubina
and her first filly – both Premiums

Rubina’s sire, Dream of Glory, was one of my favorite Donnerhall sons. He was Donnerhall – Pik Bube – Roumador II
With the blood combination that Dream Rubina carries, combined with her excellen qualities, I have a jewel of a producer. I did not breed her back, since I decided to ride her a while. That also was just so simple. She is due to foal a filly by QUATERBACK February 2008.
BELROSE

This is my very beautiful & special mare BELROSE. The story of how I came to find her –
or her to find me- proves that there is serendipity in life.
Her pedigree is one from my dreams…..she is a direct daughter of the immortal
Rubinstein out of Verband’s Premium mare by Inschallah out of a States Premium mare
by Ultraschall out of another States Premium mare by Furioso II!!
She is the dam of my yearling ARGENTINUS filly, BELLA ARGENTINA:
and also the fantastic DON SCHUFRO filly this year, BARDOT:
Bardot was Premium at her inspection this year

She had a filly late November 2007 by the great stallion ARGENTINUS. Filly is full-sister to BELLA ARGENTINA.

PREFERENCE
By JONGORRS WEYDEN out of
INEA (Daimler – Nabuur)
KWPN STER Mare
Our
dear PREFERENCE continues to be a favorite mare for breeders and
visitors. She is a beautiful lady, smooth in her conformation, with
active hind leg and good freedom and expression of movement. Her
colt by DON SCHUFRO in 2005 was awarded Premium status by the German
Oldenburg Verband. In three frozen semen breedings in 2005, she producted four embryos, three of which were born in 2006.
At
the September 2003 Oldenburg Verband Inspection, hosted by Yancey
Farms, judges Evelin Vollstedt and Fritz Einhaus judged a total of
45 horses. Of the 21 mares evaluated, 20 were approved into the Main
Mare Book. The high score of 7.7 went to my own KWPN mare, Preference
by Weyden out of Inea by Daimler. She is a superb mare that showed
excellent type, suspension and beauty. This score tied her for high
score in the country that year. Dr. Vollstedt also said that this
is the high score in the country for a non-Oldenburg mare. Two years
ago, this same mare was the high scoring Non-Hanoverian mare in the
country for the American Hanoverian Society and tied for top place
of all mares in the country. She went on to win S.E. Regional Champion
of the Cosequin/USDF Sporthorse Breeding Championships.
The
pedigree of PREFERENCE combines the strong Hanoverian dressage and
Olympic Champion, JONGORRS WEYDEN with athletic KWPN blood.
She had a spectacular filly by Samarant, "Sambora" and a darling filly by Briar named "Bon-Bon." Both of these fillies were presented to the German Oldenburg Verband and were awarded Premium status. She had a handsome and fun colt by the Dutch stallion "Sandreo" whose new Owner registered with the KWPN NA. She had LORD LEO by LORD SINCLAIR in 2007 and is in foal to QUATERBACK for March 2008.

Preference, Registered KWPN
Oldenburg Verband Rated Sept. 2003
TAMARINDE
KWPN Ster mare
Jazz – Matador II – Rubinstein – Welt As

Tamarinde followed in the fancy footsteps of our other magnificent Dutch mare, Preference. Tamarinde was also the HIGH SCORE mare of the entire tour of the German Oldenburg Verband in the U.S. this season of 2006. She turned in the awesome score of 8.3 from German judges Katrin Burger and Thomas Rhinow.
She then went on to the Sushine Sport Horse Breed Show where she won all her classes with high scores and qualified for the USDFBC SE Series Championships.

TAMARINDE was Grand Champion of the S E Regional USDF Sporthorse Breed Show
Scoring 8.5 for conformation; 9.0 for walk; 8.5 for trot; and 8.5 for general impression
She is shown here being awarded her cooler by MaSu Hammacher – I am handling.

TAMARINDE loves little people.
Here she is being prepped before her Championship class by Megan Miller!

Megan’s brother, Shane also acted as groom and video person for Tam!
Shane often helps
his Dad, Dr. Corey Miller who is our attending Theriogenologist (reproduction Vet) on the farm.
Megans’ and Shane’s Mom, Chris Miller, is also a huge help and an accomplished event rider
who is breeding warmbloods now too.

Tam also won the Dutch Warmblood High score award with an 85%, and was high score of
both days of the breed show and Championship series.

Then we went on to accomplish the High Score of the Non-Hanoverian mares presented to the American Hanoverian Society at the Florida inspection. Her Total score with them was 7.91.
Tamarinde was bred to the interesting young stallion HOTLINE (Hofrat – DeNiro) owned by Blue Hors, Denmark and Paul Schockemoehle, and produced a spectacular colt. HOT JAZZ is now owned by Pat Parelli.
Heart's Afire
Although Heart’s Afire is actually full Trakehner by blood, she carries German Oldenburg papers. Her pedigree encompasses 4 generations of my breeding program, with an inbreeding to the foundation mare of my herd, HELENA “E” (Trakehner mare by Herbststurm – Pregel – Boris).

Heart’s Afire as a 3 year old
Her sire was my homebred, licensed stallion “HARPER” (Trakehner by Mahon out of HELENA “E”) HARPER was a wonderful producer of offspring with the greatest willingness to work, with great heart, excellent toplines and that “HARPER” face and look.
He was accomplished through 4th level dressage before he entered the “A” hunter circuit where he was 7th in the Nation in 1st Year Green with Peter Pletcher.
big space
Heart’s Afire’s dam was a substantial Trakehner mare named “HALO, who was by another of my stallions – FALKE (Grimsel – Maharadscha). Halo’s dam was “HELEN’S IMAGE , a mare I produced by my first Trakehner stallion “BEAUTE’, and out of my same foundation mre, HELENA “E”.
So, you see, in her 4 generation pedigree, I have combined 4 of my own Trakehner stallions, and have a beautiful producer, of modern type, incredible temperament and most excellent producing ability.
Her first foal was a colt by the great stallion ARGENTINUS (Hanoverian). The quality of her first foal was more than I could have wished for.

Arrick Harper at 3 days with Heart’s Afire at 4 years, 2007

Arrick Harper, Premium awarded colt by German Oldenurg Verband 2007
Her genetics are priceless for a long time breeder such as myself. I value everything that she embodies, and her offspring are the loyal sporthorses that I have strived to produce for over 30 years. And, imagine, I started with her forbearers in 1975!!
She is in foal to the super dressage producing stallion DON SCHUFRO for an early foal in 2008. Fetal sexing says “COLT”.
Here are a
few photos of some of my Kigers

Twister is shown here
at 2 years of age
(they grow up quickly in the wild)

Tempest, shown at about
10 – 12 months,
was gathered from the wild in Oregon as
a weanling. You see she has gentled quickly
and is beautiful.

3 year old stallion
“Cherokee Warrior”.
This photo was the lead photo of a story
written about the Kigers. He, too, was gathered
from the wild Oct of 2003 and was gentled
and going wonderfully under saddle by Feb. 2004 !

Kigers come in black
every now and then.
This is a yearling colt "Cherokee Midnight Moondancer”
He will be a big boy, strong boned, and is offered for sale.
Adding to the mix
is my stunning Lusitano colt, Zico,
that I bought from Haras Modelo in Brazil. Hopefully
I will use him in the future to add Lusitano blood back
into the Kiger, as the DNA of the Kiger clusters just
below the Lusitano and they are much the same type.
Kiger mare,
"Cherokee Diamond Mirage"
As many of you know, I have a passion for breeding these wonderful and
magnificent Kiger mustangs from Oregon. I ride two different Kigers now,
and have an active breeding program. This is the registered Kiger mare, "Cherokee
Diamond Mirage" with her filly "Isabel" by the magnificent
Andalusian stallion "Gaucho III". She is a buttermilk dun like her
dam and full of presence and personality! Isabel’s movement is stamped
by her super sire. She still loves her little dog friend "Angel" who
was there at her birth.

Many
warmbloods don’t move this fancy

In 2005,
Mirage produced an absolutely outstanding colt by the Lusitano stallion “LAVRADOR”
“AVIADOR” is proudly owned by Josepha
Phillips, a dressage trainer from Sweden, now living in Ca.

It
is really quite impressive how this humble little mare can produce
offspring of such size, caliber and movement. …not to mention
wonderful colors. In 2006, she foaled a handsome colt by Sandro hit. He is her color, but tall and substantial. We are keeping him for a future riding horse. She is in foal to our Kiger stallion "Warrior" for 2007 and the foal will be for sale.
